7TV FANTASY IS COMING!

Edge Hill University Press has joined forces again with Crooked Dice Game Design Studio – this time to offer students a unique and exciting opportunity to develop and write 7TV: Fantasy, a narrative-driven miniatures wargame using the established 7TV ruleset.

7TV: Fantasy brings the worlds of fantasy film and television to the tabletop for miniature battles, campaign play and small-scale mayhem. Two years of research, development, playtesting and demonstrating will bring a fourth boxed set to life – set to be launched at the UK Games Expo in 2021.

Students will get an excellent opportunity to gain not only genuine game design, research, writing and development experience in a commercial context, but also professional skills valued by employers.

7TV: Fantasy is the second collaboration between EHUP and Crooked Dice. Between 2017 and 2019, sixteen Edge Hill University students worked as interns to develop, playtest and launch 7TV: Pulp, a tabletop skirmish game based on the cinema serials and pulp fiction of the 1930s and 1940s. The game was published in May 2019 to great success. The students involved found the experience invaluable in helping develop their careers.

Colony 87 Kickstarter ends 20th August 8pm GMT

C87 24 HOURS
The fourth crooked Kickstarter will end tomorrow at 8pm.

Colony 87 had grown in power over the decades. It was now the most important centre for trade, industry, science and arts in the sector. Millions flocked to the Colony; the rich and the powerful, the ambitious and the desperate. There was a place for them all, no matter how high-born or lowly.

WHAT’S THE CAMPAIGN?

The aim of this project is to produce NEW 28mm scale sci-fi civilian miniatures for the Colony 87 range for use in RPGs and tabletop wargames. Plus there is an opportunity to pick up the figures in the previous two successful kickstarter campaigns – and some new add-ons. This Kickstarter will enable the figures to be production moulded and cast in white metal.

PICS3
The figures have been designed with a retro sci-fi aesthetic by fantasy illustrator Will Beck and sculpted by ace figure designers Michael Anderson, Micheal Lovejoy, John Pickford, Andrew May and Ernst Veingart. In addition to a new set of SIX civilians, there are new additional characters, pets and accessories available as Add Ons and Stretch Goals.

New Kickstarter launches Friday 29th March!

KS launch banner

Get ready for 7TV: Pulp with a new range of pulse-pounding pulp miniatures from Crooked Dice!

We will launch a new Kickstarter on Friday 29th March at 7pm GMT and close on Monday 1st April at 7pm GMT. It’s a short campaign with three main simple pledges – six heroes (£22), six villains (£22) or all 12 (£40) to support the upcoming release of the 7TV: Pulp boxed set in June 2019.

These miniature designs are based on the Star and Co-Star profiles from the forthcoming 7TV: Pulp game. However, while they complement the existing Crooked Dice range and 7TV skirmish rules, they are suitable for any pulp, horror or modern gaming settings. Sculpts have been brought to life by the very talented Ernst Veingart and will be cast in white metal.
