Xmas Card 2014 FINAL

Merry Christmas from Crooked Dice!

Another year draws to a close, last orders before Christmas posted off, all ready to watch “The Railway Children”. Many thanks for all your support this year, we’ll see you in 2015 for some exciting metal, print and PDF adventures. Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year from Graeme, Karl, and everyone else who helps out behind the scenes here at Crooked Dice.

As part of the festive fun, our prolific scribbling soothsaying old crone Helena Nash has boiled her bottom and came out of the shrubbery with this short but perfectly formed Monty Python and the Holy Grail Film Guide for 7th Voyage. “Fetchez la vache!”

Crooked PDFs are moving to Gumroad

There is a big change in Euro law coming 1st January 2015 which affects everyone selling e-products to Europe (that’s us). Rather than jump through loads of hoops, spend ages filing tax returns or stopping selling and losing that source of income, we have decided on a plan B.

Between now and 1st, we will start to replace the PDFs you can buy here in our store with links to online e-commerce platform Gumroad. If you want to buy any of our PDFs, you will be able to buy them from Gumroad, it should all be painless.

One side effect of this is that we will have to drop our ‘Print+PDF’ deals, and maybe look at the content and pricing of our rules Starter Sets. You’ll start to notice these changes on the site in between the Egg Nog and the Mince Pies. Any questions, you can get us by email or on the forum.

Chronal Commandos

About time… for Christmas

We have some new releases in store in time for Christmas. This month we have five Chronal Commandoes from the Ministry of Time – they have branches everywhen. These five retro sci-fi troops are locked in an eternal struggle that rages across time. But body armour and advanced weapons still may not save them from extermination! This set contains our 200th piece – how time flies. Beautifully sculpted by Ernst Veingart and in store now!

Christmas 2014 Last Orders

Almost December, and we have the latest posting info from the Royal Mail. Here are the last dates you can get an order in to (hopefully) have your order by 25th December*
*: If customs don’t get in the way, this out of our control

Aus/NZ/China 01 Dec • Other Int’l 08 Dec • Europe 11 Dec • UK 16 Dec

Mailing out and other Crooked work will slow down between 22 Dec and 5 Jan, to allow us to spend some time with our families and play with our Christmas presents. This year I have bought Karl an actual Bantha, and he has got me Cameron Diaz.

Black-Friday14

Black Friday Deals now available

We go all American and offer you 24 hours of 50% off. We have included the 7TV Core Rulebook, Summer Special, On Location, Heroes Programme Guide, Villains Programme Guide and Vlads Army books, as well as a lot of our PDFs. We have made a Black Friday page which has everything included listed.

Poppies

People also do this for real.

Today is Remembrance Sunday, where we spare a few minutes to think of those who have fallen defending their countries. We play at wargames, because some people have, or have had, the courage to defend us and our homelands. Often they have paid with their lives in far away places. You can donate here, or via other ways, or simply just remember them.

News-Nov14

November new releases + LICENSE!!!

Hot on the heels of The Witching Hour, comes November’s releases. We have the Department X Starter Set, print copies of Once and Future (until 7th November, if you buy a print copy and give us the order number for your PDF, you’ll get £4.50 off, the same as if you had bought the combined Print+PDF deal) and Once and Future/Myths and Monsters Cards.

AND finally… we can reveal our license… Australian action comedy DANGER 5! Set in a bizarre 1960s WW2, watch our slightly inept heroes try to kill Hitler (and fail!) Truly original TV, this is right up 7TV’s street. Why not check out the Danger 5 Starter Set contents (8 models, 3 D5 dice, stat booklet) while you google it on YouTube. Once you’ve watched it, you can’t unwatch it! Many many thanks to Kate and all at Dinosaur for enabling this one to happen.

AND we’ve still to release the Chronal Commandos, they’ll be along by the end of next week!

News-WitchingHour

Now is the Witching Hour!

The auspicious date of All Hallows’ Eve seems right to unleash The Witching Hour – an unofficial 7th Voyage PDF-only supplement based on the folklore and gothic horror of the 17th and 18th centuries. New model types you can include in your casts include Witch Hunters, Plague Doctors, Zealots and Colonies of Bats(!) Add to this new Event and Gifts of the Gods cards, film guides, plus stats for stars such as Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. This product has all the production values of any Crooked Dice product with the spilled out brain contents of Glenn Allen, who did all the writing.

Crooked Dice FIASCO this Sunday!

Graeme is getting packed for the drive down to somewhere called ‘England’ tomorrow, to join Karl at GrimUpNorth show FIASCO at the Savile New Hall, in Leeds. We’ll be trading with all our wares to date, plus Graeme will be monkeying around with a 7TV demo board. Plus we’ll have some top secret 2nd Edition work in progress material, and details of our new license. Be there, or continue to be in the dark. Plus the clocks go back on Sunday, that’ll help.

So, if you haven’t got an email by tonight saying your outstanding order has been completed, it’ll get done on Tuesday when Graeme gets back.
