Stick with the most common races and leave the rare ones for episodic releases.  That way you don't need to do to much at once.

Yea, that makes sense.

I might leave the Borg out to begin with, and do a specific Borg booklet or something - I've included the Vorta and Jem'Hadar because I'm a DS9 nut LoL!

I've been looking for an original sin, One with a twist and a bit of a spin - and since I've done all of the old ones, Till they've all been done in - Now I'm just looking, and I'm gone with the wind - Endlessly searching for an original sin . . .

I have been mulling this over as well. I haven't got as far as you have. I have been looking at Star Trek TOS rather than TNG. I have been busy collecting various RPG rules to get some ideas! Miniatures are going to be the biggest issue I think.

I have tracked down TOS Federation, I found some Gorn and Romulans. But allas no TOS Klingons!!

I may have to scratch build them

Anyone with some suggestions that don't involve sculpting them myself would be greatly appreciated!

I've actually stripped back my rules/profiles and am doing TOS first. Mostly because of time really, then I will do an "update" covering the Movies etc

Victory Force do Alternate Universe Federation, which with very little fannying around with make excellent TOS Klingons - my mate Tom Kiley has been doing exactly that.

Anything in form-fitting/tight jumpsuits would do fine tbh - with a little GS over the top of them.

The Sweeney's doing ninety 'cause they've got the word to go. They get a gang of villains in a shed up at Heathrow.

These are the very miniatures of which I speak! for the Feds i have a dozen of so of these -- I have converted another space man to a TOS Klingon - When I get it done I shall post for critique.

Do you mean the miniatures or the PLAYERS? I really don't want to see some of my past opponents in skin-tight Lycra, thankyouveddymuch.

I'm using the mark I's on those, every time I go to order the new ones they are out of flaming stock!

I have the MK Is as well, I liked having the detatched heads but I found the arms to be a little fiddley -- Or maybe I just should put together miniatures at 2 in the morning!

I'm using some as the basis for my TOS Klingons as well, basically sculpting sashes etc on them.

I have been using Mega Miniatures "Bridge Crew" as the Basis for both Klingons and the "Tracey Family" - at 1.50US each they are about half the price before shipping.

Reached the point of having two playable forces - Klingons and Federation last week - but just haven't had time to test them out properly.

LUCKILY Toby and his Brother are trying them out tonight - though oddly, they will be playing with 15mm miniatures. They converted a load of Traveller miniatures YEARS ago.

I've shown the TOS stuff to a couple of people who's opinions I really value, and the response has so far been incredibly positive.

I have a few things to finish up with today and send off (real life has gotten in the way badly the last few days again) and then I plan to turn my rough hand written notes on Romulans and Gorn into nice tidy, shiney profiles.

I even did some rough notes for Kzin (Star Trek the Animated Series Episode "The Slaver Weapon") should I include them? I've included Edoans and Caitians in the Federation Profiles after all?

Right back down my Dads then down the Hospital (again).

Good plan. Family and health first, and the hobby when you're good and ready. Your doing the TOS first idea is a sensible way to go. And I say give the Kzin a shot, it gives us  an additional enemy to worry about!

By the way, just looked over at the Hasslefree site after seeing their sale posting here. Is it just me, or is this an idea for a Borg figure, with a little modification?
