You might have seen these in the rulebook, but here some better shots of the originals. Don't get excited, they are all conversions of diecast vehicles

Here is a standard issue X-Mobile. It's a repainted Corgi Batman diecast - Robin's Redbird to be exact.

While here is another painted as Doctor Hugo Solomon's XM1:

And finally the X-Track:

Jon Atter painted and converted this old SHADO Mobile to act as an X-Track for me. More recognisable than the first two - but it will do the job!

Thanks to Dags for all these.

You refer in the pdf preview to vehicles and "special vehicles" - I presume the latter are stuff like Supercar, the Thunderbirds, etc?

Vehicles are fairly generic items which most casts can get hold of with the right Special Effects/Extras and expenditure of ratings: Cars, Helicopters, Jeeps, etc.

Special Vehicles are all the exotic things which are basically restricted to certain types or show or individual Guest Stars; i.e. the X-Track from Department X or Argo's Tripod Walker. This would also include stuff like Supercar, the Thunderbirds vehicles, etc.

"He had scurvy and rickets, and was covered from head to foot in festering sores. All in all he was quite the most ghastly apparition of a man I had ever seen."
"I see, and who exactly was this poor unfortunate?"

"That's you that is."

Just ordered one of these:-

£10.70 including postage, might be a little large at 1:43.

Here's the link for anyone interested:-

That's nice. 1:43 should be OK. I've a number of Vanguards vehicles in this scale and they work well.

its a set of decals from a Tempest kit   EJ555 is the aircraft code number  and the blue, white, red block is the tail flash    ( hawker tempest V by Revell  1:72  from google)
the 01 on the bonnet is possibly letraset or from another aircraft or tank kit

if it aint broke, I aint been near it.

Really like the Robin car conversions, excellent.  I might get some of those myself.
I have converted some of those old Imai kits of the shado mobil, some heavy weapons etc on top, but not actually finished them off yet, still thinking about interior lighting.
got a bit more painting to do as well!

I love everything UFO, but those SHADO Mobiles were the best. My favourite land-based sci-fi vehicles.
